  • Member: anyone with an Afripace account.
  • Affiliate link: a member's personal link, used to share Afripace and earn a share of the purchases it brings.
  • Content: text, videos, images, links and other material on the Service, including what members and instructors send us.
  • Service: the Afripace website and app, its courses, the AI Academy and AI Tools pages, reports, our WhatsApp channel and groups, and related services.

Account registration

  • Accuracy: give truthful, up-to-date information when you sign up, including a real email address: sign-in links and messages about your orders are sent there.
  • Age: you must be 16 or older. Under 16, you need the verifiable permission of a parent or guardian.
  • Security: keep your password and sign-in links to yourself, and tell us straight away at support@afripace.com if someone else uses your account.
  • One person per account: an account is personal and may not be shared.
  • Suspension: we may suspend an account for fraud, hate speech, abuse of the community, sharing paid lessons or breaches of these Terms.

Purchases and payments

A. Payment methods

  • Mobile Money: send the exact amount to the number shown at checkout, then enter the number you paid from and the transaction reference. We open the course as soon as we have checked the payment.
  • Card and online payment: where offered, handled by Paystack, which is PCI-DSS compliant. We never see or store your card number.
  • Prices: shown in the course currency, they are the full amount you pay Afripace. Your bank or Mobile Money provider may add its own fees.
  • Promo codes: a promo code lowers the price shown at checkout. It applies only within its own limits and cannot be exchanged for cash.

B. Refunds

  • Courses: full refund within 7 days of payment if you have watched less than 25% of the course. Our refund policy explains how to ask.
  • Free courses: nothing is charged, so there is nothing to refund.

C. Payouts

  • Instructors: paid after the 7-day refund period ends, with a minimum balance of 100 GHS for sales in cedis or 5,000 FCFA for sales in CFA francs.
  • Affiliate earnings: paid every month by Mobile Money, as set out in the affiliate programme terms.
4

Free lessons and free courses

  • Free lesson: every course opens with a free lesson, so you can judge it before paying.
  • Free courses: some courses are entirely free. They need an Afripace account, and the rest of these Terms applies to them as it does to paid courses.
  • No subscriptions: Afripace sells each course once. There is no subscription, automatic renewal or trial that turns into a charge.
5

Role-specific terms

A. Students

  • Course access: buying a course gives you personal access to all its lessons, with no time limit, for as long as Afripace offers the course. No resale, recording, downloading or redistribution of the lessons, their links or your account.
  • Videos: lessons are streamed through YouTube. Their links are for your use only.
  • Updates: we may improve, reorder or update lessons over time.
  • Certificates: issued when you complete every lesson of a course, in the name you choose. Anyone with a certificate's number can check it on our Check a certificate page. We may withdraw a certificate obtained by fraud, or after a refund.
  • Community conduct: respectful interaction is required in Afripace's WhatsApp channel and groups. Hate speech, spam or off-topic posting may lead to removal.

B. Instructors

  • Applications: you apply on the Teach on Afripace page. We review every application and reply by email or WhatsApp; applying does not guarantee acceptance.
  • Content ownership: you keep the rights to your courses but grant Afripace a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, market and sell them.
  • Quality standards: courses must be original, must not infringe anyone's rights, and must be updated every quarter.
  • Course removal: a published course cannot be permanently deleted, but it may be unpublished or hidden for violations, poor ratings or at the instructor's request.
  • Payouts: the share of each sale agreed with you, up to 75% of the sale (minus fees), by Mobile Money or bank transfer, unless a written agreement with you says otherwise.

C. Members who share an affiliate link

  • Earnings: when someone buys a course within 90 days of following your link, you earn the share shown on your Affiliate page, fixed when the payment is confirmed.
  • Promotion rules: no spam, misuse of the Afripace name or logo, or false advertising. Breaking these rules may lead to the loss of earnings.
  • Full terms: the affiliate programme terms apply.
6

Content and intellectual property

  • Your content: you keep ownership of what you send us, such as an application or course material, but grant Afripace a licence to use it to run and promote the Service.
  • Platform ownership: Afripace owns the software, brand, layout and design of the Service. Buying a course gives you access, not ownership.
  • Other companies' tools: AI Tools and our reports link to services run by other companies. We do not control them, their own terms apply, and a mention is not an endorsement.
  • Copyright complaints: report infringement to legal@afripace.com.
7

Prohibited conduct

  • All users: no hacking or attempts to enter other accounts, automated copying of the Service, hate speech, harassment, illegal activity or exploitation.
  • Students: no sharing of paid lessons, their links or accounts.
  • Instructors: no plagiarism, fake reviews or substandard work.
  • Members who share a link: no fraudulent promotion, impersonation of Afripace or misuse of its brand.
8

Termination

  • By Afripace: immediate suspension for fraud, breaches of these Terms or illegal activity.
  • By you: ask us to delete your account by writing to support@afripace.com.
  • What remains: intellectual property rights, payment obligations and the dispute terms still apply after an account is closed.
9

Law and compliance

  • Governing law: these Terms are governed by the laws of Ghana, and the courts of Accra have jurisdiction.
  • Data protection: we follow Ghana's Data Protection Act and the data protection laws of the countries where our members live, such as Nigeria's NDPA, Kenya's Data Protection Act and South Africa's POPIA.
  • Results: our courses teach skills. Income or business results are not guaranteed: they depend on your own work and circumstances.
  • Limitation of liability: Afripace is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, such as lost profits. Where the law allows, our total liability for a course is limited to the amount you paid for it.
  • Availability: the Service is provided as it is. We work to keep it available but cannot promise it will never be interrupted.
  • Force majeure: Afripace is not liable for failing to perform because of events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, outages of the services we rely on, or war.
10

Dispute resolution

  • Negotiation: write to support@afripace.com first. Most problems are solved quickly that way.
  • Mediation: disputes that remain unresolved go to mediation in Accra, Ghana.
  • Individual claims: claims must be brought individually, not as part of a class action.
